At American Karate Academy our boxing classes teach the basic boxing skills and techniques, designed to increase muscular strength and cardio endurance. Boxing classes will include calisthenics, shadow boxing, bag work and core strengthening exercises, skill and partner drills. You will sweat like crazy, build a solid core and burn hundreds of calories all while learning the sweet science.

Muay Thai the "ancient art of 8 limbs" is one of the most powerful and effective martial arts in the world. Developed over thousands of years, this ancient martial art of Thailand is known for its tremendous power, maximum efficiency, and raw simplicity. Muay Thai utilizes a beautiful symphony of kicks, punches, knees, and elbows with fluidity and grace. It is one of the handful of martial arts in the world that has been undeniably battle-tested, street-certified, and ring-proven for real-life encounters. Muay Thai is also infused heavily in rich tradition and Thai culture as it is the national sport of Thailand. It has been around for more than 2000 years and is basically regarded as the oldest variant of martial arts.

At AMERICAN KARATE ACADEMY our Muay Thai program you will learn all the basics of Muay Thai plus strength and conditioning drills, as well as stretching. The Muay Thai program will include challenging assessments, and ongoing training during every stage of development. The basics of Muay Thai include Stance, Footwork, Punches, Kicks, Knees, Elbows, as both offensive and defensive techniques. Training also includes: heavy bag, pad work and basic clinching. Learn to put your techniques together with partner drills. This Program is designed for Men, Women, and Kids. The class is 45 min. long and it's a full body workout that will get you in shape fast.
